HealsGood is on a mission to transform how NHS Trusts and hospitals manage their staffing, compliance, and workforce operations. Traditional staffing models are riddled with inefficiencies and unnecessary costs, something I saw firsthand working in clinical insourcing and healthcare staffing. Through HealsGood, and our platform Flexzo AI, we're giving healthcare providers the tools and data to eliminate agency fees, reduce admin burdens, and take back control of their workforce.

We primarily work with NHS Trusts and hospital systems, and we reach them through a combination of direct relationships, sector partnerships, and word-of-mouth referrals within the healthcare community. We’re not just selling software, we’re solving a system-wide problem with smarter, more sustainable solutions. Connecting clinical staff directly with hospitals eliminating costly middle man agencies.

How has the business evolved since its launch?

When we launched, our focus was narrower, primarily around reducing reliance on costly staffing agencies. But as we engaged more with healthcare providers, it became clear the problem was bigger: fragmented systems, compliance chaos, and workforce burnout. That’s why we built Flexzo AI, not just as a scheduling tool, but as full a workforce management solution that integrates compliance, insights, and optimisation into one platform.

Today, we’re helping organisations streamline everything from onboarding and credentialing to shift allocation and performance monitoring.

How are you funded?

We’re privately funded, with backing from healthcare-savvy investors who understand the urgency and scale of the problem we're solving. One of our key supporters is Fuel Ventures, whose experience in scaling tech-enabled businesses has been invaluable, we also received substantial support from Google and Amazon. Their backing has given us the freedom to focus on building solutions that are truly needed, not just commercially attractive, and to stay laser-focused on impact and long-term transformation in healthcare.

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the inertia within large healthcare systems. Even when the pain points are obvious, change can be slow. The key has been to prove value quickly and show that our platforms don’t just save money, they also improve outcomes for staff and patients alike.

How does HealsGood answer an unmet need?

Healthcare staffing is broken. Providers are trapped in a cycle of agency dependency, unpredictable costs, and operational inefficiency. Flexzo offers an alternative, a way to manage the workforce dynamically, compliantly, and independently. We’re not just digitising old processes; we’re reinventing how workforce management should work in the modern NHS.

What’s in store for the future?

We’re doubling down on AI-driven optimisation, making it even easier for hospitals to predict demand, fill gaps in real-time, and manage compliance seamlessly. We’re also expanding our reach, working with more Trusts across the UK and starting conversations internationally. Our goal is to become the backbone of modern healthcare workforce management.

What one piece of advice would you give to other founders?

Solve a real problem, and stay close to the people who live with it every day. The best innovations come from listening, learning, and being brave enough to challenge the status quo. If you're not improving lives or operations in a meaningful way, it’s time to rethink your approach.
